I'll begin this blog with the good news. I was promoted today at work. This was the long promised promotion, that finally came to fruition. My new position will actually be a new position within the company....kind of. Previously, there were three tiers of support. Tier 1 being the basic, front line support. They handle most of the day to day issues, answer the majority of the calls, etc. Tier 2 (my former position) is next after that. They handle a little more complex issues, oversee the tier 1's, make sure that all the their responsibilities are taken care of. Tier 3 was the top level, and also served as the department supervisors. They took on the most complex issues & handled any replacements or requests for revists. In addition to that, they ran the department.
I will now be a Tier 3, but the supervisory duties are being moved to a separate position that has been created. So, I will basically be handing all the complex technical issues, replacements, revisits, etc, including any other special duties, and the department supervisors will be overseeing the department. Its going to be a lot of work, but I think I am up to it. The two positions are essentially going to be the same, I just won't have the burden of the manigerial duties.
I was promised this role a few months ago, but things had to wait until certain things, staffing wise, were taken care of. Now that that has been worked out, the promotion was made. I'm excited about it, but also very nervous. We'll see how things go!
Now, a update on the house drama. Chris (the crazy one) moved out on Sunday. So, things are finally at piece. The past couple days have been great, just relaxing with Cheryl (the good one). She seems very nice, no where near as bad as Chris made her seem, but of course he had to over-exaggerate everything to make him look like the innocent victim he was so fond of playing.
So, it looks like the new Show, "West Allis, 53227, was canceled after only one episode. We'll see how things go, but so far...it looks like I'm in a good place.
